Have you ever read the Bible? God is pretty amazing! My favorite story is the one about Moses and the Plagues. I wish I could have been alive then, and an Egyptian, so I could see all the Plagues. The grasshoppers and the fire raining from the sky and the water turning into blood? I like a wrathful God.

I'm going to become a Catholic. Doctor Death said I could go to church every Sunday but I'm not allowed to go to confession. So I'm going to confess here, all the things I've done that I can remember that the Bible says is bad.

• I have committed murder
  
• I have eaten human flesh
  
• I have committed fornication.
  
• I have fornicated with another man
  
• I have had unclean thoughts about women
  
• I have taken things that didn't belong to me
  
• I have lied
  
• I have coveted the possessions of others
  
• I have had violent thoughts about others
  

I'm sure I'll think of more...although I'm not sure what to do about a penance. Put broken glass in my shoes?

It was dark outside. Branches reached up towards the full moon like skeletal fingers scratching against the black sky as a cold February wind raced through the corpses of the trees that dotted the cemetery landscape. Everything was dead here, the people buried beneath their headstones like treasures, the grass mottled with small piles of snow, the sad flowers left in honor of worm infected flesh and brown bones. In fact, I was the only thing alive there and I was very alive! Sweat ringed the collar of my t-shirt and ran down my spine darkening the color of the thin cotton sheath hanging from my shoulders. My fingers were raw and sore, blister forming over broken blister, wrapped tightly around the once smooth handle of my spade. Dirt caked beneath my nails and into the split that broke one right down the middle, dust made mud with my blood. It was worth it though when the tip of my shovel collided solidly with what sounded like wood. At last! Finally, I was there! Smearing grime and death dirt over my forehead as I cleaned it of sweat,Locked to I tossed my tool onto the ground nearly six feet above me and turned my attention to the lid of the coffin.
